As part of this role Blair actively identifies SMEs within the GBS LEP area which may benefit from the MD-TEC facility, and manages their engagement with the project. Blair has a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Healthcare Policy and Management, specialising in quality and service improvement.
Prior to her current role, Blair worked for Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust as an Innovation Facilitator, where she was responsible for ensuring that robust innovation arrangements were in place within the Trust as well as supporting service evaluations in line with policy. Another aspect of the role was in conjunction with the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) where she ran the West Midlands Mental Health Innovation Network co-ordinating bi-monthly events, newsletter and network website in line with key mental health priorities which involved a range of stakeholders across the region including CCG’s, Patients, Carers, Clinicians, Academics and third sector organisations.
Blair previously worked for the WMAHSN from its inception in 2013. This enabled her to gain an enhanced understanding of partnership working and project work, regularly communicating with a variety of stakeholders.
